Vegan Tofu Musubi

Vegan Tofu Musubi is a plant-based twist on the classic Hawaiian snack, made with fried tofu or vegan SPAM, rice, and nori.

  1. Slice the tofu or vegan SPAM into 8 equal pieces. Fry in a pan with a bit of oil until both sides are crispy.
  2. Place the musubi press on a clean surface, lay a strip of nori across it, and add a layer of rice.
  3. Top the rice with a slice of fried tofu or vegan SPAM.
  4. Add sliced avocado on top of the tofu, then fold the nori over the top to seal with soy sauce or water.
  5. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top for added flavor and texture.
  6. Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
